Do you want to be a writer?

Do you like thinking yourself as a writer? The person who writes something, is a writer. If you believe it, you can demand yourself as a writer. Writing is a time killing task. So, if you don't get the recognition/value of your task, it could be spoilt. Next I'll mention the tasks and qualities of a Professional or Commercial writers.

At first we should know the classification of writers and their characteristics. Writers can be divided into three classes - General Writer, Professional Writer and Commercial Writer.

General Writer:  The person who writes something for own-self and doesn't publish it anywhere is a General writer. He writes just for mental satisfaction and doesn't get any feedback or recognition. Maximum time he takes it to pass leisure time. His writing doesn't follow any kind of restriction. He is just like a flying bird. Everything he can do what his heart wants.

Professional Writer:  The person who takes writing as a profession is a professional writer. If you want to be a professional writer, you have to carry the characteristics of professional writers in you and your writing should carry the adjectives of popular writing. A professional writer obviously a popular writer. Because popularity encourages him to take it as profession. If a writer gets recognition of his writing the he can think to take it as a profession. Otherwise it's impossible.

Commercial Writer:  The person who writes something just for money is called Commercial Writer. He writes something and sells it to the customers. He doesn't demand authority of his writings. Maximum time he writes short articles. He is known to us as Article Writer, Content Writer, Blogger or Blog Writer and so on. Most of the time he is given a topic and some rules to write something.

Actually there is a lot of difference between the mentioned three classes. Now you can easily select your category and what you want to be. If you want to be a Commercial or Professional Writer, you can practice to create or carry the characteristics of the writers and try to make output your writing with these qualities and gain huge popularity or money. I'm sure you won't give me a single penny of it!

 Nursing – A Fabulous Career

Do you like to take care of sick? Do you feel pathetic feelings for the ill? Do your heart cries for the injured? If all these are ‘yes’ then nursing is perfect for you. Nursing is a magnificent and honorable profession. Actually there are a few professions dignified as nursing. You will be paid good salary with honor in nursing. So if you want to help the sick, just take a decision and achieve a degree on nursing and make an honorable career. 

What is nursing:Nursing is a profession of caring of sick, prevention of illness, promotion of health etc. Both individual and group work is included in nursing.

• According to the “American Nurses Association”- “Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities; prevention of illness and injury; alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses; and advocacy in health care for individuals, families, communities, and populations.” 
•  According to the “International Council of Nurses” – “Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. Nursing includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people. Advocacy, promotion of a safe environment, research, participation in shaping health policy and in patient and health systems management, and education are also key nursing roles.”

Nursing Degree:There are various kinds of degrees in nursing. Such as – ADN, BSN, MSN, DNS etc. Let’s see some information of these degrees. 

• ADN:ADN refers to ‘Associate’s Degree in Nursing’. It’s a two years course. You can achieve this degree from a vocational school or community college. After obtaining this degree you will be RN or Registered Nurse. 
• BSN: It means ‘Bachelor of Science in Nursing’. Normally a bachelor degree in nursing is a four years course. Like most other technical degrees, it’s a combination of classroom works and practical works for a bachelor degree in nursing. Practical works are related to ‘clinical works’. For clinical works the students are trained up on hand. And the students learn hand training first here. You can obtain BSN degree from a college or university. 
• MSN: Masters of Science in Nursing is called MSN. After achieving the bachelor degree you are eligible to do MSN. It’s a higher degree. If you want to be APN, NP and CRNA you need to complete MSN. 
• Doctorate in Nursing: Doctorate in Nursing is the highest degree in nursing. To do so you have to complete BSN and MSN first. Doctorate in nursing is divided into two types. Such as –

1.     Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and

2.     Doctor of Nursing Science (DNSc).

Types of Nurse: You can divide the types of nurse in many categories. Let’s see how we can differentiate the nurses –

o   Education: Some nurses are certificate holder and some are none certificate holder. The certificate holder nurses are called RN or Registered Nurse.

o   Location: You can choose your nursing profession on the basis of location. Then you may call hospital nurse, school nurse, flight nurse, company nurse etc.

o   Department: You can choose different department, such as – Neonatology Intensive Care Unit (NISCU), Emergency Room (ER), Operating Room (OR) nursing etc.

o   Medical Subject: You can divide the nurses considering their medical subject or specialty. For example – Gastroenterology, Surgery, Medicine, OB/GYN etc.

o   Population: You can choose you nursing career separating on the basis of population. Such as – Geriatrics nurses are specialize in elder care, Pediatric nurses are specialize in children health and some others women’s health etc. 

Career Follow-up:Nursing is a great profession. You can be satisfied by doing this job. You can earn reasonable salary as well as honor from here. But degree holder nurses can be paid better salaries than the unregistered nurses. So if you obtain a bachelor degree, you can expect an wonderful career here. Bureau of Labor Statistics told that the average registered nurses salaries could be $81,000 per year. And it would be less $43,410 and more than $92,240 per year. It also said the RN’s earn may $27.29 per hour. So you can easily understand their salaries aren’t little

  Responsibilities and tasks of Nurses: Nursing is a 24 hour job. There are a lot of responsibilities of nurses. Let’s see some task that are followed by nurse – 

• The main task of nurses is to ensure the protection of patient, 
• Nurses are to follow the procedure according to the doctors instruction, 
• They teach the guardians of patients to recover illness fast in the best possible way, 
• They often help the doctors in surgery room, 
• Nurses give injection to the patients if required, according to the doctors instruction, 
• They change the dresses of patients, 
• The nurses are also responsible to give grief counseling to the patients guardians in case serious illness, 
• Sometimes senior nurses are to take decision in some critical situation under instruction of doctors, 
• To follow up patients over all situations and inform it to doctor etc. 

Nursing Worldwide: We all know about Florence Nightingale. She is known as light of dark. We all remember her with honor. And this honor she gained by doing nursing. That’s why nursing is considered a great job all over the world. Their dignity is everywhere. But their salary is not the same everywhere. Because of the difference of their location and skill. A bachelor degree holder nurse is getting paid more salary than a non-registered nurse. Actually a registered nurse is more skillful than an unregistered nurse.

To serve the people many of us want to be a doctor. But financial unavailability is a great hindrance to the way of doctor. No problem, you can take nursing as your expected career as you want to serve the sick people. You will get self pleasure and rational life too. Really nursing is a great job for mental satisfaction.
